Palm Springs drivers interested in a crossover SUV packed with style and value have debated between the Nissan Rogue and the Honda CR-V for many years. These compact crossovers introduce a few updates for the 2024 model year. What are the exciting differences between these popular models?
The four trim levels available for the 2024 Nissan Rogue are equipped with the same engine and mechanical features. The turbo 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engine generates 201 horsepower. The Rogue has a CVT and can choose between front-wheel and all-wheel drive. The 2024 Honda CR-V has six trim options. The first three are outfitted with a 190-horsepower, turbo 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. The other trim options have a four-cylinder hybrid system with 204 horsepower. Both engines have a CVT. Most of the 2024 CR-V trims give you the choice of front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
In 2024, the Rogue has a refreshed look with a new wheel design and an upgraded front end. The wheels have a mini-spoke look, while the lower door panels are accented with a metallic rocker panel. At the front, the large grille is dressed up with horizontal chrome bars, and the lower fascia has been modernized. The headlights stand out, with upper and lower sections separated by a body-colored element. The 2024 CR-V's design is unchanged. This model has a classic look with subtly angled, smooth door panels and a gently descending hood. The sides also show off a thick belt of molding. The grille is small with wide-spaced mesh—the LED-topped headlights angle off of the grille.
Both models offer features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, push-button ignition, forward collision detection, a dual-zone auto climate control system, a wireless charging pad, driver's memory settings, a navigation system, a hands-free liftgate, a heated steering wheel, and others. The Rogue also has second-row sunshades, a head-up display, quilted leather seats, a tri-zone climate control system, and heated seats in both rows.
