2021 Nissan Rogue Trim Comparison: SL vs Platinum
Completely redesigned for the new model year, the 2021 Nissan Rogue is a stunner. It looks more rugged and handsome than ever before. But dashing-good looks only go so far. What else does the 2021 Nissan Rogue have? Which features can you expect from it?
Here’s our deep dive into the top two trims for the 2021 Nissan Rogue: the SL and the Platinum. Both offer a high-end experience. Take a look below to see exactly which features each trim has.
The SL and Platinum trims inherit all the features from the vehicles before them, including Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and remote start, just to name a few. All the safety features carry over as well, including forward collision warning with automatic forward/reverse emergency braking and pedestrian/bicyclist detection, blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a surround-view parking camera system, ProPilot Assist, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, rear parking sensors, driver attention monitoring, automatic high beams, and a rearview camera. Each 2021 Nissan Rogue has a 181-horse 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and Xtronic CVT with paddle shifters. FWD is standard on both the SL and the Platinum, but the Intelligent AWD system is available. FWD models get 27/35/30 mpg and AWD models get 25/32/28 mpg.
The SL trim dips its toes into high-end territory. It features leather upholstery, a panoramic moonroof, tri-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel. The SL also has an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal garage door opener, a hands-free power liftgate, and fog lights. Like the SV, the SL has an available Premium package. Included therein are a 9-inch touchscreen, integrated navigation, a 10-speaker Bose stereo system, wireless Apple CarPlay functionality, traffic sign recognition, and front parking sensors.
The Platinum trim is the cream of the crop. It adds quilted leather upholstery, heated rear seats, a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless device charging, a 12.3-inch digital gauge display, and a 10-speaker Bose audio system. It also includes integrated navigation with ProPilot Assist integration, wireless Apple CarPlay functionality, a heads-up display, traffic sign recognition, and front parking sensors.
