2021 Nissan Murano: S vs SV | Cathedral City, CA
The Nissan Murano is a midsize SUV that has a focus on safety, efficiency, practicality, and affordability. And don’t worry, we can prove it to you. In fact, that’s what we’d like to do right now.
Today, we’re comparing the two base trims for the 2021 Nissan Murano: the S and the SV. Keep reading to see what they have in common, as well as see the features that set them apart. Which one do you prefer?
Every 2021 Murano, no matter which trim you choose, has a 3.5L V6 under the hood. It produces 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). FWD is standard on all trims, but AWD is available for those that prefer it. Regardless of whether you choose FWD or AWD, fuel economy is the same. EPA estimates put it at 20/28/23 mpg.
The 2021 Murano S has a bunch of standard features. It has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, four USB ports, an 8-inch touch screen, and a six-speaker stereo. Dual-zone automatic climate control, remote keyless entry, push-button start, and cloth upholstery are also standard. Standard safety features include front and rear collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, rear door alert, driver drowsiness monitoring, LED headlights, automatic high beams, and a rearview camera.
The SV doesn’t add a lot of features, but the new features are excellent. First off, there’s adaptive cruise control, which is perfect for easing your commute. Remote start is an appreciated addition, allowing you to get the dual-zone automatic climate control going on those very hot or very cold days. Power-adjustable front seats add to the comfort levels. Lastly, the fog lights help on those days when weather isn’t very cooperative.
