2021 Nissan Altima Trim Comparison: SR vs SL vs Platinum
So, you’re interested in the 2021 Nissan Altima, but you want a little more than the base S and SV trims offer. No sweat. There are three more trims for you to choose from: SR, SL, and Platinum. Each comes with lots of premium features. Let’s take a look.
Here’s our comparison between the 2021 Nissan Altima SR, SL, and Platinum trims. See which trim from the midrange and top-tier levels suits you best by checking below.
The SR adds paddle shifters and sports seats. The available SR Premium package ($1,200) adds a moonroof, heated front seats, and heated mirrors. Otherwise, it has the features from the S and SV trims, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an 8-inch touchscreen, blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert, remote start, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, and more. See our S vs SV comparison for the full list.
The SR trim also has a performance variant, the SR VC-Turbo, with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. With regular fuel, it produces 236 horsepower and 267 lb-ft torque. With premium fuel, those numbers go up to 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque.
The SL adds plenty of premium features to round out the 2021 Altima. It gains integrated navigation, a premium nine-speaker Bose audio system, ProPilot Assist, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition. It also gets leather seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and fog lights.
The top-tier Platinum trim is the cherry on top. It has a standard surround-view parking camera system, as well as adding a memory bank that remembers settings for the power-adjustable driver’s seat and outside mirrors. And like the baseline S trim, the Platinum only comes in drivetrain: AWD.
