The Most Exciting Feature of the 2018 Nissan Armada? A Mirror.

The 2018 Nissan Armada is making waves on Palm Springs Nissan dealer lots thanks to its superior design, awesome powertrain options and advanced security features. But the component that has Nissan fans most excited might surprise you: Folks are clamoring just to take a look at the new Nissan Armada’s rear view mirror.

Sounds silly, right? Well, this is no ordinary mirror.

The 2018 Nissan Armada’s Intelligent Rear View Mirror (I-RVM) uses a high-resolution camera mounted to the rear of the vehicle to project an image onto an LCD monitor built into the mirror. The video image allows drivers to see what’s behind them without trying to see around interior obstacles like cargo and rear headrests.

The Intelligent Rear View Mirror system also helps improve visibility in low-light conditions, dramatically reduces glare, and offers drivers an expanded field of view thanks to the camera’s wide angle lens.

Even if your Nissan Armada’s cargo area is piled high with luggage or groceries and you’ve got the kids or a pet in your back seat, you’ll be able to see clearly behind the car using the I-RVM system. You can even sync the mirror to your own custom needs–the option exists to use the I-RVM’s settings to sync the mirror to your garage door opener, control the brightness of the video image and more.

Of course, the traditional rear view mirror is still there. All drivers have to do is flip a switch located on the bottom of the mirror to access either the traditional rearview mirror system or the new Intelligent Rear View Mirror.

Naturally, the groundbreaking I-RVM system isn’t all that makes the 2018 Nissan Armada special. The SUV comes standard with a whole range of incredible, futuristic tech features, including NissanConnect Services powered by SiriusXM, an 8-inch multi-touch display, HD Radio, SiriusXM Travel Link with three years of trial access, Enhanced Voice Recognition, a Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant, and plenty of additional USB ports to keep the whole family happy.

The new Armada is, after all, a family vehicle. The SUV seats up to 8 passengers in its ultra-roomy, comfortable interior. The Armada offers passenger 40 inches of second row headroom and 41 inches of second row legroom so you can be guaranteed that your daily commute will be comfortable no matter how large the car pool fam is.

Front seat passengers will enjoy 8-way power-adjustable bucket seats with heating and cooling. Heated second row seats are standard on certain Armada models. Ask a Nissan dealer near you for more information.
