Nissan Frontier voted Best Mid-Size Pickup Truck of Texas

Which pickup truck was voted the best mid-size truck of Texas? It’s none other than the new 2022 Nissan Frontier. Frontier continues to win honors after its release. Recently, the Nissan Frontier voted Best Mid-Size Pickup Truck of Texas by the Texas Auto Writers Association. The annual TAWA Truck Rodeo, a three-day challenging terrain assessment conducted at Star Hill Ranch near Bee Cave, Texas, chose the winners. What is TAWA?

The Texas Auto Writers Association was founded in 1987. It has since evolved to become one of the most well-known and respected automotive journalism groups in the business. The objective of TAWA is to promote quality and accuracy in automotive journalism and communicate information about the industry via news-related print, web, and broadcast media.

Key features of the new 2022 Nissan Frontier

The 2022 Nissan Frontier comes in King Cab and Crew Cab body styles, 4×2 and 4×4 options. Additionally, S, SV PRO-4X (4×4 only), and new-for-2022 PRO-X trim levels (4×2 only) are also available. The new 2022 Frontier comes with a striking new appearance, an adventure-oriented interior, and the latest driver-assistance technology. The 2022 Frontier continues on Nissan’s six-plus decades of mid-size truck supremacy. It is a genuine mid-size truck with a variety of body, drivetrain, and equipment options. These are carefully curated to meet specific customer requirements.

Along with its new appearance, the Frontier has an available, largest-in-class 9-inches color touchscreen display. Additionally, both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are standard across all trims. A standard 7.0-inches Advanced Driver Assist Display provides customizable information directly in front of the driver. This helps make driving even more accessible. Frontier has 4.0-liters of center console storage, about double that of typical mid-size trucks, to meet everyday customer demands.

“It’s clear that Nissan put a lot of work into redesigning the Frontier, and it shows. Our members were impressed by not only its prowess both on and off the dirt but also its comfortable and upgraded interior. We are glad we had the opportunity to put the Frontier through its paces, Texas style.”

Kristin Shaw, TAWA President
